Cross-Border Road Traffic Law Enforcement training designed for the SADC region and aligned with bilateral movement agreements.
This training programme has been designed and developed to equip learners with the necessary skills and technical know-how for Cross-Border Road Traffic Law Enforcement. The movement of people and goods between South Africa and its neighbouring countries has increased tremendously — and the formation of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) has necessitated a series of bilateral agreements.
The purpose of this learning is that learners are capable of understanding the relevant sections and regulations contained in criminal procedure legislation pertaining to Peace Officers, and can enforce those provisions professionally.
This unit standard caters for both Peace Officers and Traffic Wardens — including the by-laws of specific organisations or authorities. It supports transformation of the Peace Officer status as learners become models for other officers, attracting quality candidates to authorised officer roles.
This training enables progression into Traffic Policing, Metro Police, Cross-Border Enforcement, Customs support, and specialised Peace Officer roles across national, provincial and municipal authorities.
