Planning for major events is not optional if there is any hope of a successful outcome. There is no substitute for a planning process that meaningfully involves all stakeholders. How one defines "success" varies from community to community — and planning helps define the unique elements by which your event will be measured.

Our Special Events Security Officer qualification is designed to meet the generic security outcomes of all forms of events — social, sporting, religious, political and cultural.

Career Pathways

Reaction Officers work in armed response and rapid deployment teams. Special Events Officers manage security at stadiums, concerts, political rallies and religious gatherings. Control Room Operators progress into monitoring supervisors, dispatch managers and operations control leaders.
